accessibility statement.
we're committed to making thotleaderlabs.com usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. here's what we've done, what we're working on, and how to tell us when we miss.
last updated: May 14, 2026our commitment
we believe an online store should be usable whether you're tapping with your thumb, navigating with a keyboard, listening with a screen reader, or zooming in to 200%. accessibility isn't a one-time checkbox — it's something we work on every time we ship a new page.
standard we follow
we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our baseline. this is the same standard the U.S. ADA + most other legal frameworks reference for the web.
we test on:
- screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows)
- keyboard-only navigation (no mouse)
- 200% browser zoom
- high-contrast modes
- recent versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge
what we've done
- semantic HTML — real
<button>,<a>,<form>, and heading elements instead of div-soup - alt text on product photos and meaningful images
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons (cart, search, account, close)
- visible focus states on every interactive element
- keyboard support — every menu, drawer, modal, and form can be reached and used without a mouse; ESC closes overlays
- color contrast — our brand colors (black, hot pink, lilac, yellow) are tuned so text + icons meet WCAG AA contrast ratios on every background
- readable type — 16px+ body, generous line-height, no fixed pixel sizes that block browser zoom
- reduced motion — animations respect
prefers-reduced-motionwhere used; nothing flashes faster than 3 times per second - form labels — every input has a programmatically associated label
- skip-to-content behavior — sticky header is dismissable and doesn't trap focus
known issues we're working on
some things we know are imperfect and are on the list:
- third-party widgets (live chat, reviews, embedded social posts) — we've requested accessibility roadmaps from each vendor; in some cases their compliance is out of our hands
- the mobile mega-menu — we're improving focus management on small screens
- announcement-bar marquee — currently auto-scrolls; we're adding a pause control + honoring
